Since the coronavirus’ arrival in the United States, many people have failed to grasp how serious the matter is. In the beginning, many adults took to Twitter and other social media platforms to say all the precautions being enforced on the country were “unnecessary” and exaggerated. A month after people began obeying stay-at-home orders, 1 million Americans have been diagnosed with the disease and 58,955 others have died. And yet, some of those same people downplaying the severity of issue continue to gather in large groups with friends who are not considered immediate family members.
